New Museum

Launching a Landmark

After several years at MOCA, Los Angeles I was given the opportunity to help launch the new New Museum in New York.

With a striking logo already in place from Wolf Olins, the task was to create every visual piece needed for the new building’s grand opening – all within a tight six-month timeframe. This meant tackling a wide range of design elements essential for welcoming the public.

Work included crafting clear and inviting wayfinding and signage systems to help visitors navigate the beautiful new space. It also involved designing warm and engaging membership materials to connect with early supporters, along with creating essential visitor items like tickets and gallery guides that felt both informative and perfectly aligned with the museum’s fresh brand. On top of that, extensive interpretive texts for exhibitions (didactics) were produced, alongside hundreds of other print materials vital for a bustling museum.
